INCIDENT - M80 Ring Road re-opened
UPDATE 9.10am
Two Altona-bound lanes of the M80 Ring Road have been re-opened to traffic near Boundary Road, Laverton North following a serious collision.
Please allow extra time and detour wide around the affected area, where possible.
🚧 All lanes will re-open only when tow trucks have removed all vehicles and it is safe to do so.
⏳ Delays currently exceeding 70 minutes on the M80 Ring Road and Western Freeway. Surrounding roads including Fitzgerald Road and Boundary Road, and several roads through Sunshine are also heavily congested

The M80 Ring Road is closed Altona-bound over Boundary Road, due to a collision.
🚧 All traffic is leaving the M80 Ring Road via the Boundary Road exit and can immediately return to the freeway via the Altona-bound entry ramp.
➡️ You may choose to leave the freeway early to avoid the worst of the congestion. Alternatives include exiting at Ballarat Road and travelling through Sunshine, exiting at Fitzgerald Road and using Boundary Road to return to the M80 or reach Geelong Road, or taking Fitzgerald Road and using Kororoit Creek Road to reach the Princes Freeway.
👮♂️ Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and Transport Victoria's Incident Response Service are attending. Lanes will re-open only when it is safe to do so.
