🧡 It’s Get Ready Week! 🧡

Don’t just get ready… Get Queensland Ready!

In Queensland, the weather can change quickly. A little preparation now can make a big difference when severe weather strikes.

Here are four simple steps to get prepared:

🧡 Know your risk – understand the hazards that could affect you and your community.
🧡 Know your Disaster Dashboard – know where to find trusted, up-to-date information.
🧡 Make a plan – talk with your household about what you’ll do and where you’ll go.
🧡 Pack a kit – have essential supplies ready to grab if you need to leave quickly.

🌧️🌪️🌊 Prepared communities are resilient communities.

It doesn't matter what car you drive, or how good you are at driving - as soon as you enter floodwater, your car can’t protect you.

R U OK?
A conversation could change a life.

👋 Start the conversation.
👂 Take the time to listen.
💬 Keep the conversation going.
🧡 Let them know they’re not alone.

You don’t need to have all the answers. Sometimes simply being there and listening can make a real difference.

Look after your mates. Look after your team. Look after yourself.
