"On a bustling road in Sydney lies a nondescript storefront known simply as the Time Travel Agency."

This month, the online book club Libby Reads with Ben Hobson will host author Jaclyn Moriarty, author of "Time Travel for Beginners"—a beautifully crafted exploration of charm, loss, destiny, and time travel.

You can borrow this book on the Libby app with NO waiting, then join this evening of discussion with the author.

Did you know there's an interactive team board game set in Rocky?
In The Adaptation Game (TAG), you work together to face realistic "shock" scenarios like floods and bushfires. This game crafts an immersive experience of responding to real, compounding challenges in our region.

Calling all twitchers!

Are you ready for the Aussie Bird Count? Story Box Library has some wonderful stories for young birders and families!

Calling all budding birdwatchers from 19th October! 👀🐦🌿

The Aussie Bird Count is a wonderful opportunity to get outside, look up and discover the feathered friends sharing our neighbourhoods, schoolyards and green spaces.

And, of course, we think stories are the perfect place to start! 📚
StoryBox Hub has a whole flock of brilliant bird-filled stories to spark curiosity before you head outdoors, all gathered together in our dedicated Aussie Bird Count Storylist.

Why get counting? In just 20 minutes, you can help contribute to a national snapshot of Australia’s birds and how they’re faring. With one in six Australian birds facing the threat of extinction, every little bit of noticing counts.

📚 Explore our bird-filled Storylist
👀 Watch, listen and learn
🐦 Then head outside and see who you can spot!

Because sometimes a great story is just the beginning of a much bigger adventure. 💚

You don't have to take the stairs!
October is Queensland Seniors Month, a time we celebrate older people in our community, and your library welcomes you to visit. If you are attending 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 for Origami Club (20 Oct, 3:30pm), Cake Club (27 Oct, 3pm) or the gentle FunFit exercise and mobility program every Monday (9:15am), the stairs at the entrance don't need to be daunting. There is a ramp to the right of the building, which leads straight past the returns chute to the front doors.
In fact, if you go through the library carpark and turn left, you'll find the accessibility parking, right next to the ramp!

Knit one, purl one. 🧶

❤️ It’s always a treat to discover what our talented bunch of crafters are making each week at the library. Warm items for various local charities are made using donated yarn ( they are always on the lookout to receive more wool for their projects).

Drop wool donations off at any of our libraries - thank you for supporting our library group!

The Knitting & Crochet Club is open to all and meets every Wednesday morning from 9.30am-12noon at the Southside Library.
