Romsey Fire Brigade

This Sunday (11th October) several brigades in the Romsey / Riddells Creek / Mount Macedon area will be taking part in a Group Training Exercise based out of the Riddells Creek Recreation Reserve. You may see an increased presence of CFA / Emergency services vehicles in the area. Don't be alarmed if you see them, refer to your VicEmergency app for any active notifications or alerts.

Magpies are swooping so fire season is on its way, and one of the best things you can do now is get your property ready.

To help, Macedon Ranges Shire Council tips are accepting green waste free of charge from 26 October - 8 November 2026 and 22 February - 7 March 2027

Amazing weather and amazing turnout for the Romsey Mitre 10 spring pop-up. Still plenty of time to come down for a sausage and look over the fire truck.

Sunshine and a high of 20 degrees will see Romsey come alive and out of hibernation.... come down to Romsey Mitre 10 for their Spring pop-up, bring the kids (and grown up kids) to check out some of our brigade's trucks and gear.

Less than 24 hours to go and the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb has almost reached its $1,000,000 target. If you were planning on donating to support the Romsey CFA stairclimb team but it slipped your mind - there is still time. https://www.firefighterclimb.org.au/station/cfa/romsey/ Proceeds go to: Lifeline | Peter Mac | 000 Foundation. Marty, Michael, Precita and Tom will start the 28 floor stairclimb with 25kg of gear up Crown Metropol at 08:28 and are hoping to be at the top around 8 minutes later.

24 HOURS TO GO.

This time tomorrow, our first climber will enter the stairwell and the 2026 Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb will be underway.

Together, we have now raised an incredible $942,271.

That leaves just $57,729 between us and our goal of $1 MILLION before the first climber starts.

🔥 One week to go — help Romsey CFA climb for a cause!

On Saturday 12th September, Marty Osborn, Michael Envall, Precita Roque and Tom Ruessman will represent Romsey CFA at the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb — 28 floors of the Crown Metropol in up to 25kg of full turnout gear and breathing apparatus, simulating a real high-rise rescue.

Each year this event is raises over $1 million nationally for Lifeline, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation, and the 000 Foundation — funding mental health support, cancer research, and crisis care for emergency service and defence families.

Romsey CFA's target is $2,000 — we're at $705, so $1,295 to go with a week left. Every donation is tax-deductible.
