I know i have said that this page is non politcal but i would dearly love to know how many of you would like to see a 50 metre pool re-built on the peninsula.

The site of the old pool is now pretty much left idle as i have since found out that the pool wasn't actually removed it was just filled in with earth. The carpark is still there it is across the road from Safeway. In the bottom right hand corner of the pic is the foreshore office and to the bottom left is where the skate park is now. I am not sure what year this picture was taken, the slide was an add-on so it must have been in the early 80's. i think the area where the slide is is where the aquarium was (someone may know precisely).
