‼️ ROSEDALE WE NEED YOUR HELP! ‼️
If you could please advise us if you have a hydrant out the front of your property and if it has markers? We are preparing for the fast approaching fire season! We are inspecting hydrant points in and around town to cross check their locations, markers, grass maintained and cat’s eyes. Please DO NOT remove the white posts out of your yard for aesthetics like we have noticed! A reminder to also NEVER park over a hydrant! At an incident today we were unable to access a hydrant due to a car being parked over the top of it!

🚒 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FOR OUR BRIGADE! 🚒

Today, four of our incredible members bravely took on the 13th Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb Challenge — and what an effort they put in! 👏🔥

The Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb is a gruelling challenge where firefighters and emergency service members take on 28 floors of the Crown Metropol, pushing themselves physically and mentally to the top while raising vital funds for important causes supporting first responders and the wider community.

Our four members absolutely smashed it, with all four completing the challenge on their own two feet! 💪

🏆 Nicholas Seymour — 9 minutes 58 seconds
🏆 Brendan Northway — 11 minutes 56 seconds
🏆 Clinton Pendergast — 8 minutes 03 seconds
🏆 Matt Swale — 9 minutes 51 seconds

But the challenge wasn’t just about getting to the top…

💰 As a brigade, we proudly raised an incredible $6,241! 💰

A huge congratulations to each of our members for their individual fundraising efforts:

🧑‍🚒 Nicholas Seymour — $1,458
🧑‍🚒 Brendan Northway — $1,303
🧑‍🚒 Clinton Pendergast — $2,253
🧑‍🚒 Matt Swale — $1,228

This incredible total was made possible through the support of our Trivia Night fundraising, Battery Drive, and everyone who generously donated directly to our members.

To every person who donated, supported, shared, attended our events, dropped off batteries or simply cheered our members on — THANK YOU! ❤️

We are incredibly thankful and grateful for the amazing support shown to our brigade and to this incredible cause. Every dollar raised helps make a difference.

And to Nicholas, Brendan, Clinton and Matt — what an achievement! You should all be incredibly proud. 👏🔥

Until next year… we’ll see you at the top! 🚒💪🏆

Last night our brigade conducted BA training, with the help from Traralgon Fire Brigade - CFA Volunteers BA support. Our members helmet’s were blacked out to simulate an internal search & rescue and the lack of visibility firefighter’s face on a real job, facing obstacles around the station in pitch black. Members then completed tasks around the appliances and station to keep their heart rates up whilst on air, some members taking this as an opportunity to train for their upcoming stair climb challenge in September!

‼️Edit - we have turned off commenting on the post. However, we appreciate the support and offers to help clean up. We are saddened to hear that many other places of business and community areas were also affected. We are leaving it in the hands of Victoria Police.

In the early hours of this morning, our station was vandalised with pure gibberish and disrespect. We take a lot of pride in looking after our station and have a lot of pride in what we do as an emergency service in our community. Scrubbing graffiti off our building is not supposed to be on our list of duties! We hope no other community or private property was vandalised during the night/morning. If you noticed this or have any information on this vandalism please contact the Rosedale Police Station.
