TISSUES ON THE READY 🧡🖤🥲

Sometimes Free Trade Day becomes so much more than just fixing something broken. Sometimes it becomes a reminder to someone doing it tough that their community still cares

This year in Kingaroy, Johno from Day Dream Homes proudly accepted the Free Trade Day Gold Award from Britney herself, for Glen Day, and his incredible team.

What makes this one so special is the story behind it. Britney is a young mum of two currently battling cancer. While trying to fight for her health and keep life together for her kids, the last thing she should have to worry about is a dangerous old deck at home. But like so many good people, she just kept pushing on quietly.

Enter the legends at Day Dream Homes. These boys didn’t just patch something up, they built Britney and her family a brand new deck, completely free of charge, giving them a safe and beautiful space to enjoy together during such a difficult chapter in life.

A massive thank you Total Building Solutions for supplying beautiful Merbau decking boards and other crucial materials needed to bring this project to life.

This is what Free Trade Day is all about. Tradies, suppliers, Lions volunteers and everyday people coming together to help complete strangers simply because it’s the right thing to do.

There wasn’t a dry eye around when Britney spoke. Moments like this remind us all that kindness still exists, and sometimes a deck is about far more than timber and screws. It’s about dignity, hope and giving a family a place to smile again. Keep your eye on our socials for more beautiful stories of lives that have been changed by Free Trade Day here in Kingaroy! Food Drive at woollies stud park
On behalf of the Rowville Lions Club, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported our food drive at Woolworths Rowville today.
Your generosity and kindness have made a real difference. Because of your donations, we are able to support through Share Space Inc Rowville to provide essential food supplies to local individuals and families who are currently facing challenging times. Every item donated helps ease the burden for someone in our own community.
We are also grateful to Woolworths Rowville for hosting us and to our dedicated Lions volunteers who gave their time and energy to make the day such a success.
Rowville is a community that truly cares, and today was a wonderful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together.
Thank you once again for your support.
