🌈 Colour Fun Run 2026 🌈

What a wonderful afternoon we had on Friday with the Colour Fun Run! Students rocked their headbands and sunnies as they ran around the school, eager to be splashed with a rainbow of colours.

The beautiful weather topped off an afternoon of colour, fun and excitement that radiated across the school.

Thank you to our art teacher, Kelly Oakham, for organising the event, and a big thank you to everyone who donated.

We have raised an incredible $18,320.02. ⭐️

⭐️ Crazy Hair Day ⭐️

We started the term with crazy hair and free dress day as a result of filling up two of our values cylinders. Our students have been doing an incredible job of displaying the school values each day.

A big shoutout to Pak Shane who went above and beyond for crazy hair day, shaving half of his head and beard. The students absolutely loved it!

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday break. We can’t wait for what Term 4 brings at Park Ridge.

🌈🏃COLOUR FUN RUN 2026🏃🌈

Get ready to get bright, colourful and messy! Our Colour Fun Run is quickly approaching on Friday 16th of October from 2:30pm – 3:15pm. This exciting event will help us raise funds for our school. We have already raised an amazing $6,589!

The class that has currently raised the most amount of money is F-07, closely followed by 1-05.

The holidays are a wonderful opportunity to fundraise with family and friends.

👮👨‍🚒 Community Helpers 👨‍🚒👮

What a week the Year 1's have had! After a term full of learning about the wonderful people and places that make up our community, we were so excited to welcome some very special community helpers into our school. We were lucky enough to have visits from our local SES, FRV and Police, who shared their important roles and taught us lots about how they help keep our community safe.

We finished our celebrations with a community walk, exploring our local area and spotting the different people, places and services that make our community such a special place to live. A very big thank you to all of our wonderful community helpers for taking the time to visit us and share your important work with our Year 1 students!

🦁Foundation Zoo Excursion🦁

On Thursday, 3rd September, our Foundation students had a fantastic day exploring the Melbourne Zoo! We were so proud of the independence they showed, especially getting on the bus for their very first school excursion.

It was a big day filled with walking, learning, and excitement. Some of the highlights included the playful meerkats, the snoozing snow leopard, the colourful butterflies, and the enormous lion that came to the window to greet some of us.

After such an exciting adventure, a few students (and teachers) enjoyed a well-deserved nap on the bus ride back to school.

💙 Father’s Day Afternoon 💙

On Friday, we celebrated Father’s Day with our wonderful dads, grandfathers and special people in our students’ lives.

The students were so excited to welcome their special guests into their classrooms, and share their cards and gifts with them.
Everyone then enjoyed a range of fun activities like crafts and word searches, even sports like basketball and football!

What a fantastic way to end the week. Thank you to everyone who came and made the day so special. We hope you all had a wonderful Father’s Day.

📚✨Book Week 2026✨📚

Yesterday, we celebrated the 2026 Book Week theme ‘Symphony of Stories’ at Park Ridge. Our school was filled with colour and excitement as we started the day with a wonderful parade. We watched our students bring their favourite characters to life through their incredible and creative costumes!

Throughout the day, students participated in some fun and engaging craft activities inspired by the books:
- Dear Broccoli
- Derek
- The Frogs First Song
- Frogs Are Our Friends

Just to make the day even MORE special, we enjoyed some dancing throughout the day as part of our whole school reward for filling up our values cylinder.🕺🏼

What a wonderful day in our Park Ridge community. ✨

🔬John Monash Science School - Little Scientists, Big Science🔬

Over the past four weeks, four students from Park Ridge participated in the ‘Little Scientists, Big Science’ program at John Monash Science School.

Students had the opportunity to learn about and conduct experiments in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. These lesson were taught by JMSS and Monash University students inside real science laboratories.

Our “Little Scientists” had a fantastic time! They used microscopes, tested pH levels, designed a vessel to safely land an egg dropped from the second storey and SO much more!

It was a fun, exciting and engaging experience that gave us a great insight into the world of science and laboratory learning!

⭐️ Whole School Reward ⭐️

As part of our whole school reward for filling our ‘We are Resilient’ cylinder, students had an extended ‘Play with the Teachers’ on Friday. This was a chance for us to recognise the resilience that our students have demonstrated each day through their positive attitudes, perseverance and commitment to learning.

Our teachers joined in the fun alongside our students, participating in a range of sports and activities. These included basketball, tennis, four square, skipping, stacking cups and so much more!

What a wonderful way for our school community to celebrate together. 🌟

🌟 100 Days of SCHOOL 🌟

Our Foundation students proudly celebrated their 100th Day of School on Friday 24th July! 💯

Dressed as 100-year-olds, our students brought plenty of laughs with their creative costumes before enjoying a fun day of 100-themed activities, including writing about what life might look like at 100 years old, maths challenges, craft and so much more!

The celebrations finished with a special parade for families, who joined us to celebrate this exciting milestone. We are so proud of everything our Foundation students have achieved in their first 100 days of school and can't wait to see them continue to learn, grow and shine.
