πŸš’β€οΈ Thursday Night Training πŸ”₯
Another great night of learning, teamwork and building skills to help keep our community safe!
Our trainees took on a mock bushfire response assessment as part of their Basic Firefighter training, putting their knowledge into practice and taking another important step towards becoming operational firefighters. We’re proud to see them learning, growing in confidence and working towards helping protect the community we all call home. πŸ‘
While the trainees were put through their paces, the rest of the crew spent the evening revisiting important safety procedures, because looking after each other is just as important as looking after our community.
Every training night is an opportunity to learn something new, strengthen our teamwork and make sure we’re as prepared as possible when our community needs us.
A big well done to our trainees for their hard work and commitment, and a huge thank you to all our volunteers who give up their time to train, learn and serve our community. ❀️
We’re proud to be part of this community and grateful for the people who help make it stronger and safer, one training night at a time.
Your local volunteers, always learning, always preparing, always here for our community. πŸš’β€οΈ

We also completed our pre-checks before vehicles leave the station, making sure everything is ready to go when we’re called out. πŸ”₯
And a big congratulations to Claire on receiving her 2nd stripe! πŸ‘πŸŽ‰ Well deserved! πŸš’β€οΈ

Today is Yellow Ribbon Day πŸŽ—οΈ, a day to say thank you to the more than 27,000 Rural Fire Service Queensland volunteers who give up their weekends, weeknights, and time with loved ones to educate and protect their communities.
From preparing for bushfire season to responding when Queenslanders need them most, these volunteers make enormous sacrifices and continuously show up with courage, commitment, and dedication.
We know they don’t do it for thanks, but if you know an RFSQ volunteer or have ever been helped by one please take the time today to make sure they know how much their hard work is appreciated!
