We have so many driven and passionate young people here in the North like Noah.

A Highschool student at Northern Adelaide Senior College, Noah brought incredible enthusiasm and confidence to his time in my office for work experience.

I believe work experience is a very important window for young people into not only a workplace but a stage of life that is fast approaching them.

Today is headspace Day 💚

Now that we're at the half way point of Mental Health Month, it's a timely reminder of the importance of looking after our mental health and checking in on those around us.

I'd like to acknowledge the teams at headspace Gawler and headspace Edinburgh North for the important work they do supporting young people aged 12-25 right here in the North.

Our local clubs, volunteer groups and community organisations do so much for people across the North.

Round 10 of the Stronger Communities Programme is now open, with $150,000 available for projects here in Spence with grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 to upgrade facilities, purchase new equipment and get important community projects off the ground.

This morning I joined Ella Shaw MP to supply new flags for the Bolton Clarke Residential Aged Care in Smithfield 🇦🇺

The staff here work tirelessly to support our elderly, I am proud to be part of a Labor Government that values this work and delivered a 15% pay rise for aged care workers.

MUSIC IS LIFE / LIL CUE 🎤 lochlanmccue_ has undeniable energy and passion. His love for our community is a driving factor for his never quit attitude.

Since he was 13, Lil Cue has been a familiar face at the Northern Sound System whether it has been spitting bars or helping young artists on their journey.

This young man has the world at his feet and I am so proud to see young people from the North chasing their dreams.

The new Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub has opened in the North.

The Hub is supporting children aged 0–12 through free mental health and wellbeing support.

Importantly, support is available for parents as well to help build resilient and strong family relationships.

I am regularly told by parents how hard it is to access mental health support early and affordably.

I am proud to be working to make a real investment in the wellbeing of our children and community.

Northern Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub:

🕐Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm, Saturdays 9 am – 1 pm.
(Walk-in support available on Tuesdays from 9.30 am – 11 am)
