Sorting, building and a whole lot of LEGO magic 🧱✨
Our SLES participants have been helping support The Social Brick by sorting donated LEGO into colours, ready to be used in their creative community space.
And the best part? They also get to visit, see where all those little bricks end up, and help bring some of the models to life.
A small brick can go a long way when it’s helping people connect. 💛

The SLES crew recently headed into the city by train, wearing their Hidden Disabilities Sunflower badges.
The badges are a simple way to quietly let others know that someone may need a little extra patience, support or understanding.
And on this trip, they really mattered.
After a big day out, replacement buses, rain, confusion, noise and even a broken-down bus, Metro staff recognised the Sunflower symbol and helped the group move away from the chaos and into a quieter, safer option home.
No big explanation needed.
Just a symbol that was understood.
A beautiful reminder of why awareness matters — and how something small can make a big difference. 🌻

Page after page of colour, imagination and creatures that could only come from Dee’s world. 💛
Dee has created a book filled with her own unique characters — each one bright, expressive and completely original.
There’s something really special about flicking through these pages and seeing how much personality lives in every drawing.
Creative, colourful and very Dee. ✨

See you in the holidays! 💙
Rosie was a little quiet when we first started chatting. A bit reserved, taking her time to find the words.
But when she was asked if she’d like to sing, something shifted.
She lit up, chose her song, and sang every word of Wildflower by Billie Eilish with so much feeling.
It was such a beautiful reminder that communication doesn’t always look the same for everyone. Sometimes it’s a conversation. Sometimes it’s a smile. And sometimes, it’s a song.
A really special moment with Rosie at SASI 💙

Dee doesn’t follow a template when she creates.
Her creatures just appear —
full of colour, personality and imagination.
No two are ever the same.
“They just come out of my head.” 🎨
"How they come together just makes something so extraordinary."
It's hard not to feel excited about Lego when chatting with Bradley 🥰
Keep bringing that enthusiasm Bradley! We love it.

We were chatting with Dee in the art room this week…
She told us about a time when people said she couldn’t do art.
That she shouldn’t even try.
So she stopped.
But not forever.
Now her work fills the walls — full of colour, imagination and stories that are completely her own.
“I showed them.” 💛
