It’s now easier than ever to move between Shell Cove and Shellharbour Village with the opening of two new pedestrian bridges that link
πŸ”ΉMary Street to Nautica Crescent
πŸ”ΉSophia Street to Whimbrel Terrace

Delivered in collaboration with Frasers Property, these connections are part of the broader Shell Cove Project.

The bridges will strengthen connections around the harbour and form part of wider waterfront park and open space upgrades, while making it easier and safer for people to walk, ride and move between our town centres.

🚧 Upcoming road upgrade works on Cove Boulevard 🚧

As part of our Cove Boulevard and Harbour Boulevard Road Safety Upgrades, we will be replacing existing road pavers on sections of Cove Boulevard and at the Brindabella Way western entry with a new asphalt surface.

The pavers have been a distinctive feature of Shell Cove for many years; however they have reached the end of their useful life and are showing signs of deterioration in several locations. Replacing the pavers will improve road safety, provide a smoother driving experience, improve connections to the upgraded shared path and enhance the long-term performance of the road.

To complete the works safely and efficiently, a temporary road closure and detour will be in place from the evening of Friday 30 October until the morning of Monday 2 November (weather permitting). Motorists will be able to use Cove Boulevard between Southern Cross Boulevard and Harbour Boulevard, as well as Shellharbour Road and Dunmore Road to access surrounding areas,

By completing these works as part of the current construction program, we're able to minimise future disruption to residents and road users. While the road's appearance will change, these works will help ensure Cove Boulevard continues to safely serve the needs of the growing Shell Cove community for years to come.
