Our community is helping shape the future of the riverfront. 🌿🌊

Over recent weeks we've heard a wide range of ideas, aspirations and priorities through workshops, pop-up sessions, stakeholder meetings and community conversations as part of the Returning Our City to the River project.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their thoughts so far. Your feedback is helping inform the future direction of this important project and creating a river precinct that reflects the needs, aspirations and character of Greater Shepparton.

We've had fantastic participation throughout the engagement process, but we still want to hear from more people. Every voice matters, and every contribution helps shape the vision for reconnecting our city with the Goulburn River.

🏘️🌳 What will make regional communities the places of choice to live over the next 20 years?

That was one of the key questions explored at the recent Liveability Advantage Forum, where industry, government and community leaders came together to discuss what a future Greater Shepparton will look like.

Topics ranged from housing diversity and higher-density living through to investment attraction, transport, workforce growth and the importance of creating vibrant communities that offer real lifestyle advantages over metropolitan areas.

As part of the discussion, Council highlighted the Returning Our City to the River project as an example of the type of long-term planning and city-shaping initiatives that can help strengthen liveability, improve connectivity and enhance the appeal of our region.

Projects like this are about more than infrastructure. They're about creating places where people want to live, work, visit and invest.

Thank you to the Committee for Greater Shepparton for facilitating an engaging evening and bringing together key voices from local industry, investors, builders, employers and key advocates to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping our future.

💬 Community feedback on the Returning Our City to the River project is now open. We'd love to hear your thoughts via this survey. https://buff.ly/knP1Bco
