📚🏝️WEEK 1 OF SHORNCLIFFE READS TOGETHER 🏝️📚

Families have been reading Samantha Wheeler’s ‘The Lost Island’ together each night, and the story has been coming to life at school along the way.

A huge thank you to Mrs Youngman and Mr Eden, who have been working their magic in the courtyard. As the story unfolds, the display evolves to reflect different parts of the story, with activities alongside it for students to explore and enjoy.

The fun continues in classrooms each morning with our daily trivia competition, testing just how closely everyone has been following the adventure!

Don’t forget our SRT Padlet! Families can jump on to share thoughts, drawings and completed activities as we make our way through The Lost Island together. Please email [email protected] for the link to join.

Staff Appreciation Day!

Today we celebrated all of our amazing staff and said a huge THANK YOU for everything they do, not just today, but every single day of the year! The care, dedication and heart they bring to our school make such a difference to our students and community.

A special shout out to our wonderful P&C for spoiling our staff with coffees and a delicious lunch! Your generosity and ongoing support were so appreciated and certainly made our staff feel extra special! Thank you! 💚

📚 Shorncliffe Reads Together is now live! 🌴

Yesterday, we revealed this year’s book: The Lost Island by Samantha Wheeler!

Over the next three weeks, our whole school will read the same book, building connections and sharing a love of reading. Follow along with the reading guide, enjoy the chapters together each night, chat about the story and answer the questions along the way.

Keep up with the reading so you can join in the conversations—and most importantly, enjoy the adventure! 📖✨

🎉 PLAYGROUP IS BACK TOMORROW! 🎉

We hope all our little friends & their families had a lovely break! 💛

Playgroup returns tomorrow at 9am, and we can’t wait to see everyone for a morning of play, fun and making new friends with Miss Sass! 🧸🎨
