Last Wednesday we were fortunate enough to be able to have a sneak peak at the new Keerray Woorroong Visitor Centre. What a fabulous space they have created. We look forward to visiting again in the future and partaking of some items on the cafe' menu.

Simpson Residents take note - red and yellow bins out Monday 19th October, regardless of if they need emptying or not, so bin latches can be installed.

📢 Bin latch installations next week – put your bins out Simpson, Lismore and Derrinallum.

Council’s contractor will be installing new bin latches on household red-lid and yellow-lid bins in:
🗑️ Simpson – Monday 19 October
🗑️ Lismore and Derrinallum – Tuesday 20 October

The latches help keep bin lids closed between collections, reducing wind-blown litter and helping keep animals out. They automatically release when the bin is emptied into the collection truck.

If you live in one of these towns, please leave your red and yellow bins out on the scheduled day until the installation is complete.

Next week we have the return of Playgroup for Term 4 on Tuesday 20th at 10.30am. Wear a hat and slop on some sunscreen cause it looks like being a warm one. The weekly Tuesday Craft Group will be in house as always from 10am and indoor walking will run at the hall from 12.30pm. Wednesday 21st the office is closed while staff attend a meeting in Hamilton but Arternoon will go ahead as usual from 11am. BYO art project and join some like minded creatives. Tea and Coffee provided.

Get Fire Ready before the summer. Local brigades are hosting a Fire Ready day this Sunday so pop into the Simpson CFA Shed or the Chapple Vale hall between 10 and 2 to speak to your local volunteers about what you can do to prepare.

Last opportunity for Tax Help Appointments as the program finishes at the end of October for this year. Get a Free appointment to lodge current or past tax returns, claim Franking Credits, available for people earning under $70,000. Who doesn't love an Emotional Support Chicken? One of our regular Tuesday Craft ladies, Dot Spaull, accepted the challenge and knitted four of these beautiful ladies, one of which had an egg. Two of the chickens and the egg have found a perch at Simpson Primary School and the other two are now nesting at the Simpson Kindergarten. We hope they provide lots of comfort and feel good moments for the children.

Tomorrow is all about Yarn with our monthly Having a Yarn session. If you knit, crochet or yarn in any capacity feel free to drop in and spend an hour or two with like minded individuals. BYO project and lunch, tea and coffee provided.
