🌿 Outdoor Science in Year 3 🌿
Our Year 3 students took their Science learning outdoors to investigate the features of different plants. Using Seesaw, they photographed and recorded their observations while developing their scientific inquiry skills.

🐞 Insect Stories in Year 2 🐞
Our Year 2 students have been writing informational narratives about insects, combining factual research with imaginative storytelling. We are so proud of the creativity and effort they have shown in their writing and illustrations.

🌋 Volcanoes in Year 1 🌋
Our Year 1 students have been exploring volcanoes as part of their Earth Inside-Out learning. They even created their own volcanoes while learning about magma, lava, and some of the world's most famous eruptions.

✏️ Writing in Prep ✏️
Our Prep students have been learning how to write full sentences, focusing on capital letters, full stops, and finger spaces. It has been wonderful to see their confidence and independence as writers continue to grow.

🏊 Swimming Program at SMPS 🏊
Our Grade 3–6 students are making a splash this week as they participate in our annual Swimming Program at MSAC! Throughout the week, students will be building their confidence and learning important water safety techniques.

🎉 Celebration of Learning at SMPS 🎉
We recently opened our classrooms for our Celebration of Learning afternoon, giving families the opportunity to see and celebrate the wonderful learning taking place across the school. The afternoon continued with a BBQ, face painting, bake sale, singing, and dancing in the forecourt. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success!

🎤 Year 6 Poetry Slam 🎤
Our Year 6 students showcased incredible confidence and creativity during this week’s Poetry Slam, inspired by their novel study Sister Heart. It was amazing to see students perform their original poems in front of peers and families. Well done, Year 6!

➗ Fractions in Year 4 ➗
Our Year 4 students have been exploring equivalent fractions in Maths, discovering how different fractions can represent the same amount. Through hands on games and creative “fraction flowers,” students have been building confidence while strengthening their times tables fluency.

🦋 Minibeast Adventures in Year 2 🦋
Our Year 2 students were buzzing with excitement during their minibeast incursion! Using magnifying glasses, they explored butterflies and other insects up close while learning about the fascinating world of tiny creatures.

🦖 Dinosaur Diggers in Year 1 🦖
Our Year 1 students launched their new English unit, Blast to the Past, with an exciting Dinosaur Diggers incursion. Working like real palaeontologists, they carefully uncovered hidden fossils. What a fun way to bring learning to life!
