General information
The Queensland District was formed after the amalgamation of Federal Unions who had membership in the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy industries. In Queensland, the District is made up of former members of the Queensland Colliery Employees Union and the Federated Engine Drivers’ and Firemen’s Association.
The District’s industrial coverage is predominantly in the Coal Mining Industry, Bulk Coal Terminals and Power Generation Plants. Our Union is proud to be very democratic and is governed by a Management Committee that is made up of rank and file members from all areas of our membership and five elected officials.
