Veg Out is a community garden run by volunteers. No charge for entry. Veg Out is an organic, chemical free community garden run by volunteers.

Formerly a lawn bowling green, the land Veg Out is situated on is administered by the local council for the State of Victoria, and has been permanently reserved for public use since 1881. We have over 140 plots, where members, friends, families and community groups enjoy getting their hands into the soil. This is Craig and Fiona, two absolute givers in the garden, Craig’s agricultural welding skills were on show when we built our new ‘gate house’ for the seedlings coming out of the hot house (or glass house if you’re so inclined). Fiona is growing and handing out seedlings to plot holders on Saturday’s between 9:00 and 10:00 am, give them some love and if you’re wondering what kind of seedlings we have, they are commonly known as ‘free ones’.
