Stanmore Public School achieved an outstanding result at the Balmain Zone Athletics Carnival, finishing third overall out of 20 schools.

Our students gave their best across a range of track and field events, showing determination, sportsmanship and plenty of team spirit. It was wonderful to see them represent Stanmore with such enthusiasm and support one another throughout the day.

Congratulations to all our athletes on their efforts and achievements!

Supporting children’s learning is a shared journey, and families can play an important role along the way.

Learning Support Guides provide families with practical information and strategies to help children with their learning at home. They’re designed to make it easier to understand how children learn and how families can provide helpful support.

It’s another way we’re working in partnership with families to help every child feel supported and ready to learn.

Keeping children safe around roads is a shared responsibility, and every small action matters.

At Stanmore Public School, we’re continuing to reinforce the importance of road safety and encouraging our whole school community to stay alert around the school gates and nearby streets.

With busy drop-off and pick-up times, taking a little extra care can make a big difference. We all have a role to play in keeping our children safe.

Our students have been exploring the fascinating story and cultural significance of the Brewarrina Fish Traps.

Through their classwork, students have been learning about this remarkable Aboriginal site and the knowledge, engineering and connection to Country represented by the fish traps.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to deepen understanding of Aboriginal culture and history while encouraging students to look closely at the stories and places that help shape Australia.
