Thanks to Bike Marrickville for stopping by the Inner West Tool Library Sydney on their Spring ride to chat about sustainable home improvements. Our library is full of tools to help upgrade or maintain your bike, making it a great resource for cyclists who haven’t had a service in a while 🚲 🔧

While you might usually see our vollies on Saturday mornings at the Library, each month we also hold a working bee to check our inventory, work on upgrades and generally keep the Library organised and running efficiently. 🛠️

We’re lucky that our volunteers come in all different levels of skills, and schedules! Whether you’re a regular Saturday helper, a whiz with admin, handy with tools, great at organising, or simply have a few hours to spare, there’s a way to get involved.

Interested in volunteering with us? DM us to find out more 💚

It was great to join the 2026 Australian Libraries of Things Summit over the weekend. Dozens of libraries of things, tool libraries and more joined to talk all about sharing our resources and borrowing not buying.

Every borrowed lawn mower, repaired drill, shared DIY tip and welcoming conversation starts with our volunteers — and we couldn’t be more grateful for them.

This , we want to thank the 40 active volunteers who give their time, skills and care to make the Inner West Tool Library Sydney what it is today.

If you’d like to get involved with the IWTL, please get in touch. Whether it’s helping out on a Saturday morning at Petersham Bowlo or supporting the library in other ways, every contribution helps our little committee-run library grow. 🛠️💚

Meet Rusty 👋 There’s a buzz in the Inner West (and some plane noise) around the circular economy, and our new Board Chair is excited to be part of it!

An old pair of clamps saved the day to hold up the IWTL awnings last weekend 🗜️ 🗜️ Thanks to our team of librarians who always reuse and recycle our donations in the most creative ways!
