Experience the olde world charm and hospitality of Sunnymeade Garden Cottage, be inspired by a visit to the world class formal gardens of Sunnymeade created by Craig Irving. Hidden away in the picturesque tableland of Strathbogie in Victoria’s north east once the domain of the infamous bushranger Ned Kelly, gold miners and loggers and just over 2 hours drive from Melbourne, you will find Sunnymeade. Leaving the busy highways behind, today there are no signs of vagabonds or misadventure and fear, no ill fortune but rather the discovery of one of Australia’s best kept secrets.

UPDATE ON MY FATHER JOHN , Firstly thank you everyone for your very kind messages and comments it means a lot at times like these. Dad has a major blockage in the left artery into the brain. We have declined surgery and the risks associated it with it, especially at his age. Dad could have another stroke at any time but he’s on medication to help. He’s recovering well and l hope he can return hope but at this time l don’t know when that will be. I will care for my dad, l know the garden will suffer but for now he’s my priority. My world has been turned upside down and l just have to do the best l can with the cards life has dealt me. My parents have always been there for me and it’s my time to be there for dad. I am spending my days at the hospital with him. I took dad to Broken Hill for a few days in August, so glad l did. Thanks everyone, Craig ❤️

IMPORTANT MESSAGE. It’s with sadness that l am advising next weekends 40th Anniversary will be cancelled. My dear dad had a stroke this morning and l have to go to Melbourne to be in the hospital with him. For those that were booked this weekend you will be advised by email and l will organise a refund when l get time. My apologies that it’s certainly not a time of celebrating the garden. The dogwoods are blooming in the garden and these are some l have made in glass , just out the kiln. These are my second attempt at dogwoods and l am quite happy with these. I won’t post a picture of my first ones. 😂. So much experimenting to get the desired results. I am installing some lovely pieces in the garden at the moment l made over winter. Ready for my 40th Anniversary openings coming up. .
