After a well-earned spell, our beautiful troop horse Monarch is back and ready to get back to work.

Looking fresh, happy, and eager to be part of the team again, we’re excited to see him return to training and patrol duties.

Welcome back, Monarch! 🐴💙

🫧 Bodie and Duke took bubble training in their stride today!

While it looks like fun, unique training exercises like this are an important part of preparing our horses for the unexpected. Through repetition and varied experiences, we build calm, confident horses ready for anything they may encounter on duty. 🐴

⚽🇦🇺 The Socceroos are off to a winning start after a fantastic 2-0 victory over Türkiye!

Inspired by the result, our resident soccer star Lofty wasted no time celebrating with a game of his own. While Australia was scoring goals, Lofty was busy showing off his footwork and making a strong case for national selection! 🐴⚽😂

Well done Socceroos!

A behind the stable door look at our friends from the Western Australian Mounted Police. Their dedication, professionalism, and unique partnership with their horses make them a valued part of the WA community. We’re proud of the work they do and proud to call them our friends.

🐴 Welcome back to Meet the Mounties Monday! 🐴

It’s been a long time between posts, but we’re excited to bring the series back and introduce some of the incredible new horses we’ve acquired over the last few months.

We’re kicking things off with Martin. Martin is a Thoroughbred, who is also a ex-racehorse and is now well on his way to becoming a fantastic Mounted Police horse. Martin has settled in brilliantly and continues to impress us with his progress.

Have a question about Martin, our horses, or the Mounted Unit? Pop it in the comments below and we’ll do our best to answer it.

Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we continue our Meet the Mounties Monday series and introduce more of our newest equine recruits.

🐴 Public Holiday? Beaufort Thought So Too… 🐴

While the rest of us turned up ready for work today, Troop Horse Beaufort appeared to be under the impression that public holidays apply to horses as well.

Despite several reminders that mounted duties don’t stop for long weekends, Beaufort made it very clear that he’d much rather be enjoying a sleep-in, a few extra hay rations, and absolutely no work-related activities.

After some negotiations (and possibly a treat or two), he reluctantly agreed to clock on for the day.

We’re still waiting for him to show us where in the award it says horses get public holidays off. 🤔

Happy Public Holiday from Beaufort and the team! 🐎

Hey Queensland Police Service…

NSW are coming in hotter than a Sydney summer and the Maroons are about to get a front row seat to a proper Origin lesson!!

Cleary’s cooking, the boys are fired up, and by full time Queensland fans will be searching “how to fake bad reception” 🏉🔥

See you at the top of the ladder, Queensland 😉
