Lake Boga Recreation Reserve is set to shine brighter! We've secured funding through the 2026/27 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund for a major sports lighting upgrade! ๐Ÿ™Œ

The new lighting will meet AFL guidelines, providing safer training conditions, greater flexibility for evening sport and more opportunities for community use.

The funding is a fantastic win for the Lake Boga community, supporting local sport and the many players, families and volunteers who make it possible.

๐Ÿฆ— Keep an eye out for locust activity!

Agriculture Victoria has launched a new Locust Activity Map, helping communities, farmers and landholders stay informed about locust sightings and activity across Victoria.

The interactive map provides information on reported locust activity, helping residents monitor potential outbreaks and take action where needed.

๐ŸŒพ Farmers and landholders are encouraged to stay vigilant, monitor their properties and report any locust sightings to Agriculture Victoria.

๐Ÿ”Ž View the Locust Activity Map and find out more: https://agriculture.vic.gov.au

Staying informed and reporting sightings early can help protect our region's crops, pastures and agricultural industries.

Community reports play a vital part in building up a picture of locust activity across the north west.

If you have seen locusts, please report it via the online form: agriculture.vic.gov.au/reportlocusts

Or if you canโ€™t report online then call 136 186.

Let us know:

๐Ÿ“ location
๐Ÿ“† date of sighting
๐Ÿ“ how big the locusts are
๐Ÿฆ— if the locusts are flying
๐ŸŒฑ vegetation condition
โ˜Ž๏ธ your contact details (to help us get in touch if we need further information).

Thank you to everyone who has already provided reports. The information is combined with data from our field teams and the Australian Plague Locust Commission to build a picture of locust activity.

A map of locust activity and information about locust management is available at agriculture.vic.gov.au/locusts
