As we approach tax time, please consider making an end of financial year donation to support our veterans’ families.
Kylie is one of Legacy’s Community Services Workers who delivers Legacy’s care. She currently supports 24 families, each facing their own unique circumstances.
“Your support creates change far beyond financial assistance. It doesn’t just provide food, housing or services - it allows our families to feel safe, supported and understood during some of the most vulnerable times in their lives.”
And now, with Legacy’s recent expansion, even more veterans’ families will come to us seeking urgent help. They’re looking for stability, safety and hope – and they can’t wait.
Donate this tax time so our veterans’ families receive the support they need and deserve ❤️

No veteran’s family should be left feeling hopeless.
After the unexpected death of Georgie’s husband Steven, Legacy was there to make the ‘overwhelming feel manageable’.
“They were like an extended family –always there if I needed to call, non-judgmental, and ready to help with whatever came up.”
This tax time, please consider donating so we can be there for more veterans’ families when they need it most - providing emergency relief, advocacy, education support and social connection.

It's World Environment Day - here's one from the archives! ♻️
During the Second World War, conserving resources was a necessity. Defence personnel embraced what we now call upcycling, finding creative ways to repurpose materials.
In one memorable example, members of the 2 Garrison Battalion crafted toys from scrap timber and donated them to the Legacy club in Woolloomooloo, NSW.
