🎂 On the evening of October 10, nearly 500 Taiwanese community members, Australian dignitaries, and guests gathered at the stunning ILUMINA venue for the 115th Double Ten National Day Gala in Sydney! With the theme "Radiant Taiwan: A Bridge of Light to the World," the evening featured a vibrant Taiwanese Formosa bear AI animation that tied all performances together, brilliantly showcasing the fusion of digital technology and Taiwanese culture.

💗 Organiser Kathy Sieh noted in her opening remarks that our community brings the warmth of Taiwanese culture and spirit to Australia, encouraging everyone to share Taiwan’s story and let the world witness a more resilient and radiant Taiwan.

🌟 Director General Roy Po-Yi Hsu highlighted in his speech how Taiwan has transformed into a confident democracy driven by innovation and freedom, playing a key role on the global stage. He also echoed President Lai’s National Day vision of Taiwan as a "City upon a Hill"—open to the world and sharing hope through innovation and kindness.

TECO in Sydney hosted a grand reception at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney on the evening of October 7 to celebrate the 2026 Double Tenth National Day!🇹🇼 Over 350 distinguished guests—including NSW parliamentarians, the consular corps, overseas Taiwanese community, business representatives, and media—gathered to celebrate, creating a warm and magnificent atmosphere!

The evening commenced with the official short film "The Album of a Nation," which vividly narrated Taiwan’s democratic journey and achievements through historical footage and personal interviews. The inspiring storytelling deeply resonated with and moved all the guests present!

In his opening address, Director-General Roy Po-Yi Hsu emphasized that Taiwan will continue to pursue "Integrated Diplomacy"—encompassing values-based, alliance, and economic diplomacy—to work hand-in-hand with like-minded partners in safeguarding peace and stability across the Indo-Pacific:

🔹 Robust Economic & Trade Strength: Trade between Taiwan and Australia reached A$27.9 billion in 2025, with 10 Taiwanese banks establishing branches in Sydney. Taiwan recorded a remarkable GDP growth rate of 14.15% in the first half of 2026, with its stock market capitalization ranking among the top four globally.
🔹 Invitation to the NSW Government: DG Hsu warmly invited the NSW Government to lead a delegation to visit Taiwan and consider establishing a trade office in Taiwan to share in the dividends of economic and technological growth.

【透過國際媒體持續向全球分享台灣的故事！】

近期我們邀請歐洲、美洲、亞太、中東及非洲地區16位國際媒體代表共組 訪問台灣，媒體朋友除拜會相關機關、智庫與民間機構，瞭解台灣在區域安全、科技產業、民主治理及社會發展等面向外，也出席吳志中次長交流款宴。

吳次長提到，台灣的民主、科技及在全球高科技供應鏈中的關鍵角色，已與國際社會共同利益密切相連；面對區域安全挑戰，台灣將持續強化自我防衛，並深化與理念相近夥伴在安全、科技及經貿等領域合作。

此次訪台的土耳其、日本、韓國、美國、法國、加拿大、荷蘭、巴林等國際媒體陸續刊播相關報導，內容涵蓋台海安全、國防科技、半導體及AI供應鏈、資安風險、經貿合作及社會治理等面向。透過邀請國際媒體來台實地採訪及與台灣各領域人士交流，有助國際社會從區域安全、產業發展及社會治理等多元角度認識進而關注台灣。

Sharing Taiwanese stories through international media reportage!

MOFA recently invited 16 representatives from international media outlets based in Europe, the Americas, the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa to visit Taiwan as part of a media delegation focused on politics and the economy. The delegation visited government agencies, think tanks, and civil society organizations, giving them insight into Taiwan's role in regional security and the tech industry, as well as democratic governance and social development. MOFA Deputy Minister François Wu hosted the delegation at a welcome banquet during their visit.

Over the meal, Wu stated that Taiwan's critical role in advancing democracy and in global tech supply chains means it is inextricably tied to the interests of the international community. In the face of regional security challenges, he said, Taiwan will continue to strengthen self-defensive capabilities and boost cooperation on security, tech, and trade with like-minded partners.

Media outlets based in Türkiye, Japan, South Korea, the US, France, Canada, the Netherlands, and Bahrain have already published articles after the trip on topics including the security of the Taiwan Strait, national defense technology, semiconductor and AI supply chains, cybersecurity risks, trade cooperation, and social governance. The delegation's visit to Taiwan and engagement with different sectors of society here allows the international community deeper insight into Taiwan in terms of security, industrial development, and social governance.

【 誠摯祝賀 #吐瓦魯 國慶日快樂 🎊 】

今天 10 月 1 日是吐瓦魯獨立48周年國慶，台灣與吐瓦魯建交自1979年建交以來，兩國關係如至親家人（ ）親近，彼此互為最堅實的合作夥伴。

佳龍部長今年 3 月擔任賴清德總統特使率團訪問吐瓦魯，除了親身感受吐瓦魯友人的熱情款待，也見證台灣 #榮邦計畫 為吐瓦魯帶來的實質進展，與友邦一起在新創科技、智慧醫療、數位韌性、氣候調適與永續發展等領域深化合作。

未來，台灣會持續與吐瓦魯並肩前行，攜手實現團結共榮的願景 🇹🇼🇹🇻

MOFA wishes Tuvalu a happy 🎊

Taiwan has enjoyed diplomatic ties with Tuvalu since 1979, during which time they've engaged in substantive cooperation and even described their relationship as that of family ( ).

MOFA Minister Lin Chia-lung served as a special presidential envoy to the country in March of this year, witnessing the fruits of cooperation in innovative technology, smart healthcare, digital resilience, climate adaptation, and sustainable development under the auspices of the Diplomatic Allies Prosperity Project, while enjoying some authentic Tuvaluan hospitality!

We'll continue to work with Tuvalu towards a vision of joint prosperity🇹🇼🇹🇻

🎊 誠摯祝賀 #帛琉 國慶日快樂 🎊

今天 10 月 1 日是帛琉獨立32周年國慶，台灣與帛琉從 1999 年建交以來，兩國情誼深厚，雙方在農業、醫療、經貿與能源等領域也持緊密合作，近年在 #榮邦計畫 架構下，兩國的實質合作與互訪也更加頻繁！

此外，今年佳龍部長應帛琉總統惠恕仁邀請，率團參加帛琉主辦的第55屆 #太平洋島國論壇 相關活動，也在當地出席 #太平洋榮邦特展，期盼透過 #總合外交 政策理念，結合政府與民間力量，與帛琉攜手共創繁榮永續的未來 🇹🇼🇵🇼

🎊 MOFA wishes our ally Palau a happy 🎊

Taiwan and Palau have built a strong friendship since establishing diplomatic ties in 1999, including cooperative initiatives in agriculture, healthcare, trade, and energy. Under the Diplomatic Allies Prosperity Project, substantive cooperation and exchange have only strengthened further!

MOFA Minister Lin Chia-lung was also invited by Palau President Surangel Whipps, Jr., to lead a delegation to take part in the 55th Pacific Islands Forum, and to visit the Pacific Prosperity Exhibit. We hope to continue to harness public-private partnership under the integrated diplomatic approach to forge a prosperous and sustainable future with our ally Palau 🇹🇼🇵🇼
