We held our first RFSA State Council meeting for 2026 on Saturday. Special guests included Deputy Commissioner Peter McKechnie who took questions on a broad range of issues affecting members, and 2025 Scholarship recipent Natalie Leonard who gave an engaging presentation on the PROSCI Change Management program.
Delegates discussed opportunities to improve information available in COP, concerns about inconsistent use of Service Standards when Brigades are amalgamated, and plans for 2026 RFSA Family Days, among many other issues. Thanks to everyone who contributed to making this another successful meeting!

CALLING ALL RFS LEADERS
Are you ready to be challenged? The RFSA is now offering current or aspiring RFS leaders a chance to join Ant Middleton's Special Forces Adventure in our very own backyard - Australia's first program in the beautiful Blue Mountains.
This is your opportunity to hone your leadership skills and test your limits. As part of this leadership development opportunity sponsored by the RFSA, you will delve deep into the military mindset, build your resilience and develop as a leader.
We're now accepting Expressions of Interest for the program running 12-13 and 14-15 March 2026.
If you are successful, you will join Ant and his expert team for 4 special forces style missions of outdoor challenges designed to push your limits.
Opportunities like this don't come around often. This is a chance for you to disconnect from chaos and reconnect with who you really are through powerful adventure therapy. You'll be challenged. You'll be supported. And you'll leave stronger - mentally, physically and emotionally.
The RFSA has limited places available, fully funded for our members. As this program is targeted to those in leadership roles, applicants who are not crew leaders must have at least an AF qualification.
Don't miss out! Submit your Expression of Interest today:
