This Refugee Week, we recognise the 2026 theme, A Million Stories.

Every refugee story is different. Some are stories of loss. Others are stories of resilience, leadership, rebuilding and hope.

Around the world, refugee and migrant communities are not waiting for solutions; they are creating them. Bill Crews International exists to support that community-led action.
At Bill Crews International, our work builds on Bill Crews longstanding commitment to helping "the person in front of us". We work alongside grassroots organisations, refugee-led initiatives and diaspora communities in Australia and overseas, supporting locally led action in contexts affected by conflict, displacement and crisis. Throughout this week, we will be sharing stories from our sister organisations working with refugee and migrant communities across Africa, Europe and Asia. Their work demonstrates the power of local leadership, community-led action and people supporting one another through some of the world's most challenging circumstances.

Because behind every statistic is a person, a community and a story.

From when we first opened to where we are now, a lot has changed, but our message has stayed the same: the person in front of us has always been the focus.

Smiling faces & strong community, this is what the programs at the Rev Bill Crews Foundation are all about.

Our work brings together a range of services designed to support people experiencing hardship, including our free food programs, our literacy support for those needing extra educational assistance, free health care programs, and legal and financial counselling for individuals navigating complex challenges.

Every program is grounded in the same goal: meeting immediate needs while helping create long term change and opportunity.

To our incredible volunteers, thank you. Your time, energy, and compassion are what make it all possible.
