Just two months to go until Christmas Day, our biggest day of the year.

Preparations are starting across the Foundation, from packing Christmas hampers for families across Sydney and regional NSW, to collecting toy donations for children of all ages, wrapping gifts, preparing meals and getting ready for Christmas Day itself.

We know that Christmas can be one of the most isolating times of the year, particularly for people experiencing financial hardship, social isolation and other challenges.

Over the next two months, there will be plenty of ways to get involved and help us support those who may otherwise go without or spend Christmas alone.

We’ve officially passed one year since the Grand Opening of our Blacktown Health & Wellbeing Clinic!
 
In the last FY, we’ve delivered 1,251 GP appointments, 281 dental appointments and 225 intake visits.
 
We’ve also introduced monthly Hub Days, connecting people with a range of organisations and government services, and started providing meals throughout the week, prepared by our Ashfield team.
 
These milestones reflect the ongoing work of our team and the support of the organisations and individuals who help make it possible.

I fully support Professor Patrick McGarry‘s appeal for more help from government for Community Health Psychiatric Services. This lack of support is leading to many individuals being denied the help they need to function effectively in society and as a result society itself is suffering. I see the effects of this every day in my foundation.

Growth in the Foundation tells a complex story.

While an increase in demand can reflect the challenges and disadvantage people are experiencing, it also acknowledges the importance of accessible support.

We’re grateful to our supporters, partners and community for helping us grow our services and reach more people who need them.

Behind every statistic is a person, and we remain committed to ensuring more people can access the care and support they deserve.

Having access to a shower and clean clothes is something everyone deserves.

At the Foundation, free showers are available every day, and Orange Sky provides onsite laundry services three days a week.

These everyday essentials support people’s comfort, wellbeing and dignity, helping make a challenging day that little bit easier.

Laundry hours are:
👉 Tuesday: 8:00am–12:00pm
👉 Friday: 8:30am–11:30am
👉 Saturday: 9:00am–12:00pm

Walk-ins welcome.
