Germany gives industrial laundry machine to hospital on Solomon Islands 🇩🇪🤝🏻🇸🇧
The Good Samaritan Hospital serves 43,000 residents. It plays a crucial role in providing medical care in the Solomon Islands. By reducing the laundry-workload, the machine allows medical staff to focus more on patient care while improving hygiene standards.
During Consul General Felix Schwarz’s visit, he was told that the hospital sometimes washes linens by hand.

Deutschland schenkt Krankenhaus auf den Salomonen eine Industriewaschmaschine 🇩🇪🤝🏻🇸🇧
Das Good Samaritan Hospital versorgt rund 43.000 Bürger:innen und spielt damit eine entscheidende Rolle bei der medizinischen Versorgung der Salomonen. Die Waschmaschine verringert den Wasch-Aufwand für das medizinische Personal, stärkt damit die Patientenversorgung und erhöht gleichzeitig Hygienestandards.
Während des Besuchs von Generalkonsul Felix Schwarz auf den Salomonen wurde ihm berichtet, dass das Krankenhaus teilweise Wäsche noch von Hand waschen müsste.

Day two of the trip was all about food 🍓🥛🌱
First stop: , Australia’s largest berry producer. 🇦🇺 Fresh berries straight from the source – delicious and incredibly healthy. 🚜🫐🍓
Next, we visited , where microalgae are transformed into nutritional supplements, cosmetics and even tissue materials. 🦠🔬 Amazing to see how versatile these tiny organisms can be. ✨️
Finally, a tour of , the biggest dairy cooperative in New South Wales. 🥛🐄 This is where the ice cream for all of Australia is made. 🍦 No photos allowed inside – so here’s a selfie with my Polish colleague instead! 🤳🏻 😄
A day full of insights, innovation and great conversations. 🌿
Ein spannender zweiter Tag ganz im Zeichen von Lebensmittel 🍓🥛🌱
Erster Stopp: Costa, der größte Beerenproduzent Australiens. 🇦🇺 Frische Beeren direkt vom Feld – super lecker und richtig gesund. 🚜🫐🍓
Weiter ging’s zu SeaO2, wo Mikroalgen zu Nahrungsergänzungsmitteln, Kosmetika und sogar Gewebe verarbeitet werden. 🦠🔬 Faszinierend, wie vielseitig diese kleinen Organismen sind. ✨️
Zum Abschluss: eine Führung bei Norco, der größten Milchkooperative in New South Wales.🥛🐄 Hier wird das Eis produziert, das in ganz Australien verkauft wird. 🍦 Fotos waren leider nicht erlaubt – deshalb nur ein Selfie mit meinem polnischen Kollegen 🤳🏻 😄

Fantastic first day of the Northern NSW trip with the Consular Corps! 🇦🇺
We kicked things off with a true Australian classic: Akubra – an impressive, traditionally crafted icon of Aussie headwear. 🤠
💡 Next stop was Planet Lighting in Bellingen, a boutique manufacturer of LED lighting solutions for clients around the world, including the Paris Olympic Games and even aquaculture projects. 🌊
And to top it all off: the iconic Big Banana in Coffs Harbour. 🍌 📸
Plus plenty of inspiring and engaging conversations along the way – a brilliant start! ☺️
