One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has written to the Australian Federal Police, demanding an immediate investigation into independent Senator Lidia Thorpe’s fiery comments at a pro-Palestine rally in Melbourne.

Thorpe told the crowd she would “burn down Parliament House to make a point”, sparking outrage from both sides of politics.

Hanson said the comments were “a threat to public order and community safety,” and even described them as “an act of treason and terrorism.”

Thorpe later defended herself, saying the line was a metaphor, not a literal threat — calling the backlash “mock outrage.”

💬 What do you think — should the AFP take action, or is this political theatre gone too far?
