"Belonging is our intrinsic state when we are woven together as a village of differences in harmony. We can take the village as a metaphor for the internal life, with its wild cast of characters, as well as literally referring to the community of living things on earth. A sickness felt by even one organism in the ecosystem is felt, at some level, by all. The well-being of all, even those who aren't immediately visible to us, is necessary to our collective prosperity." - Toko-pa Turner
