Is Burwood LGA a buffer zone?

With low case numbers and high vaccination rates, I posed that question at a Team's meeting with other Mayors and Councillors of the 12 LGA's of concern. As a small LGA with 10 public and private schools, if Burwood residents are unable to send their children back to school from the 25th of October as other LGA's will be able to do, that would be very unfair.

Temporary Pop-up Pfizer Vaccination Clinic at Burwood RSL Club is now open.

Burwood has been selected as an LGA of concern and you must be aged 16-39 to be eligible.

just an update re COVID and the Burwood exposure site at David Jones on 21 June . The advice from NSW Health is to get tested immediately and self isolate until you receive a negative result.

COVID NOTICE – 25 JUNE 2021

Through the David Jones website, and Facebook message, it has been recently reported that a David Jones staff member from Westfield Burwood working at the store on Monday 21 June 2021 between 10am – 6pm is now a confirmed COVID-19 case.

NSW Health has informed David Jones that contact tracing is underway.

If you believe you attended David Jones Burwood on Monday during the indicated hours, I would encourage you to keep monitoring the Health NSW website over the weekend for any formal advice.
