Weekly Vow Tips #2/4 - Write from the heart ❤️
This may seem obvious but it is something I need to reinforce to my couples. If you go deep, you will find treasure - I firmly believe that.
Think about what you love about your partner and what promises you want to make in your marriage- keep them succinct and concise. Whether you opt for humour or tears, it doesn’t matter, as long as it represents you!
Tip: Write down the top 3 reasons of why you love your partner, and top 3 promises you want to make in your marriage - you can start to craft the vows around these and build them out further if required.

It’s official - my favourite wedding season is upon us - Spring! ☀️
This is a fabulous time of year for many reasons and it’s not hard to see why it’s the most popular season to get married. Not too hot, not too cold, flowers in bloom...
But personally I love spring for all it represents; new life, growth, newness and nature. It’s such a lovely time of year to honour new beginnings and embark on a new journey with your forever person.
Although some of the (not so fun) restrictions are still upon us, try not to let that dampen any plans you may already have this springtime - small and intimate is definitely the new big and fancy 💕🥰

Hello🙋🏻♀️ my name is Maria Lynam and I am a marriage celebrant based in Sydney.
With the pandemic temporarily interrupting life, I am sure many of you, like me, have had to reassess life and are more focused on the people you love and the things you like doing. So, one of the things I have decided to do is put my business out there a bit more with hopefully some useful content for couples who are planning their ceremony.
I currently work in aged-care and have been doing so for the last 17 years. I am passionate about my work and absolutely love helping and caring for people and their families. This is the main reason why I decided to become a celebrant. For me, it is an absolute privilege, and incredibly rewarding, marrying a couple and taking them to the next stage in their lives. I love being a part of the love story by getting to plan, talk and create unique and personal ceremonies.
To keep everyone safe during these uncertain times, I have had to adapt the way I approach my celebrancy business with all communication via video calls, telephone calls and e-mails, as well as socially distancing myself at the ceremony and any rehearsals (with lots of hand hygiene!). It’s not the way I would normally do it, but an unfortunate requirement for the moment.
If you’re looking for a celebrant, I would love to hear from you so we can see if I am the right fit for your special day❣️
Please stay safe everyone x

Weekly Vow Tips #1/4 - Be authentic
Many brides and grooms can find writing vows challenging - you are not alone. The advice I give to my couples is don't over think it, be yourself and be authentic.
It is very easy to get caught up in what you think you should write but remember this day is about the two of you - nothing more, nothing less.
I work with my couples to get what they genuinely want to say down on paper. At the end of the day - whatever you want to say - just say it! 💕
