☀️ The sun’s out and Wahroonga Park is looking a treat for our FREE Twilight Concert tomorrow (Saturday)🎤🕺🏼🎼

The Made in Ku-ring-gai Art Prize is your chance to showcase your creativity, exhibit your work in a gallery setting and win!

There are three awards up for grabs:
🎨Young Artist Award (15–18 years)
🎨Emerging Artist Award (19–25 years)
🎨People’s Choice Award (voted by Open Day visitors)

Entries close Monday 19 October.

This sweet boy was found in Lane Cove National Park on Wednesday 14 October. The dog has a microchip but there are no owner details are on NSW Pet Registry.

Please contact Council on 9424 000 or Collaroy Veterinary Hospital 9971 8487 if you recognise him.

An extreme fire danger warning has been issued for Monday 12 October including a total fire ban in Ku-ring-gai.

Walking tracks, fire trails and mountain biking trails are closed in bushland areas. This includes those in St Ives Showground and Wildflower Garden.

🔥 Hazard reduction burn 🔥

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, supported by NSW Fire + Rescue and Council will conduct the George Christie Hazard Reduction burn on Sunday 11 October, weather permitting.

The proposed burn is to the west of George Christie Playing Field down to the Lane Cove River, Wahroonga. Mopping up operations will continue for several days and public access to the burn area will be restricted.

This is part of an ongoing hazard reduction program to manage fuel loads and mitigate local bushfire risk.
