Innovation and introduction of Tape Ball in the great game of cricket is known to have been started in Pakistan nearly 3 decades ago (1980's). A tape ball is a tennis ball wrapped around in plastic adhesive tape and is widely used in the Subcontinent for playing street cricket. This modification of the tennis ball gives the ball a greater weight, swing and speed while still being easier to play with than the conventional, heavy, cricket ball. These balls are quite popular in South Asian cricket where tape ball tournaments are the most popular form of the day to day afternoon cricket.
