Leprosy is still a taboo disease and those suffering from this are abandoned even by their family members.

We are partnering with The Leprosy Mission Hospital Naini Allahabad UP India to have a community outreach program which extends from local Block to the distant areas of Prayagraj district. A team of Doctors, Nurses and health workers regularly do the field visit for health check-up, screen patients with leprosy, tuberculosis and eye problems.

With your financial support we can make a difference to those who suffer with Leprosy. We can accept tax deductible donations from individuals or organisations.

Patients diagnosed with symptoms of Leprosy who need admission or patients with cataract surgery who need to be operated are shifted to the hospital. Currently this shifting is done through a ambulance which is hired on the days of the camp. But even these hired vehicles refuse to shift patients with leprosy. Many city hospitals refuse to admit patients with leprosy who have other medical problems.
Rotary organizes a mobile health camp with treatment for patients who need domiciliary care or have been discharged from hospital and need follow up for physiotherapy or wound care. The project envisages to provide basic hospital equipment's which will help in treatment at the leprosy hospital itself and an ambulance which will facilitate shifting of patients from periphery and support the mobile health clinics.

The patients diagnosed with leprosy and other ailments will get a dignified mode of transport thru this project and reduce the cost of treatment by enabling taking treatment to their doorsteps.
