🎈🏐 Balloon Volleyball Fun at Fitzgerald! 💛

Our residents had a wonderful time playing balloon volleyball, all from the comfort of their chairs! 😄🎈

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and friendly competition as everyone took turns keeping the balloon in the air!

Not only is balloon volleyball lots of fun, but it also has some fantastic benefits for our residents, including:

💪 Improving upper body strength through gentle arm movements.

🤲 Encouraging hand-eye coordination as residents track and hit the balloon.

🪑 Supporting balance and posture while reaching and moving from a seated position.

❤️ Promoting gentle physical activity in a safe, accessible and enjoyable way.

😊 Boosting mood and social connection through laughter, teamwork and a little friendly competition!

It's a wonderful reminder that exercise doesn't have to be complicated to be beneficial. Sometimes, all you need is a balloon and a group of willing participants! 🥰

🌿☀️ A Morning Out in the Fresh Air! ☕🧁

Our residents enjoyed a lovely little outing to the local park for some fresh air, sunshine and morning tea! 🌳💚

There was a slight cool breeze in the air, but that certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! 😊 It was a wonderful opportunity to get outdoors, enjoy a change of scenery and have a good chat together.

Sometimes, it’s the simplest moments that bring the biggest smiles! 🥰🌼

🍻Oktoberfest at Fitzgerald! 🍻

Last week, we brought a little taste of Germany to Fitzgerald as we celebrated Oktoberfest! 🎉

Our residents and staff enjoyed a wonderful day filled with plenty of laughter, great company, delicious food and, of course, some Oktoberfest fun! 🥨🌭🍺

It was fantastic to see everyone getting into the spirit of the celebration, enjoying the music, dressing up and sharing plenty of smiles along the way. ❤️

A big Prost! to our wonderful residents, staff and everyone who helped make our Oktoberfest celebration such a memorable afternoon!🎶🥨

🐣 THE WAIT IS OVER… OUR FIRST CHICKS HAVE HATCHED! 🐣💛

What an exciting moment at Fitzgerald! After days of carefully watching, turning and checking our eggs, we are thrilled to introduce our first two little chicks! 🥚➡️🐣

Our residents have been so excited to follow their journey from egg to hatchling, and seeing these little fluff balls finally arrive has made all the waiting worthwhile! 🥰

And the best part… there are still more eggs to come! 👀🐥

We can’t wait to see who else joins our little Fitzgerald flock over the coming days. 💛

🐣 The countdown is on at Fitzgerald! 🐥

Our eggs are safely tucked away in the incubators, and we’re keeping a very close eye on them as we get closer to hatch day!

Our residents have loved being involved in this special activity — from checking the eggs and learning about their development to watching and waiting for those first little cracks. 🔦🥚

We’re hoping to hear some tiny cheeps and see some fluffy little chicks arriving later this week! 🐥💛

Stay tuned… we’ll be keeping you updated as our little hatchlings make their way into the world! 🥰

Lisa & Ellie’s Cooking Crew were back in the kitchen, whipping up something delicious – homemade energy bars! 😋

With plenty of mixing and measuring, our residents enjoyed getting hands-on and creating a tasty snack from scratch. 🥣✨

There’s nothing quite like the smell of something freshly made in the kitchen, and these energy bars were a big hit! ❤️

A big well done to our cooking crew – we can’t wait to see what delicious creation they come up with next! 👩‍🍳💕

🐣 Hatching Excitement at Fitzgerald! 🐣

There’s been plenty of excitement at Fitzgerald as we try our hand at incubating and hatching our very own chicks! 🐥🥚

Our residents got involved in a little egg-citing investigation 🔦🥚. We carefully placed a light underneath each egg to “candle” them and see if we could spot any signs of growth or development inside.

There were plenty of curious faces as we examined each egg and wondered what might be happening inside! It’s all part of the fun of our chick hatching adventure, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the coming days bring. 🤞🐣

🎶✨ A beautiful afternoon of music at Fitzgerald ✨🎶

Our residents were recently treated to the lovely sounds of a live harp performance. The gentle music created such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, with residents enjoying the chance to sit back, listen and take in something a little different.

Music has a wonderful way of bringing back memories, lifting spirits and creating special moments together, and this visit was certainly enjoyed by all. 💕🎵

A big thank you to our talented harpist for sharing their beautiful music with the Fitzgerald community. 💐

🍫🚗 Sweet creations with Lisa and Ellies cooking crew! 🚗🍫

Our residents had a wonderful time getting creative and making these adorable little chocolate cars, complete with colourful lolly wheels and a very cute teddy bear driver! 🧸🍬

Activities like this are always a great opportunity to enjoy some laughs, use a little imagination and, most importantly, enjoy the finished product afterwards. 😋

There were plenty of smiles all round as everyone put their own special touches on their creations.

Another fun and delicious activity enjoyed by our Fitzgerald residents! 💕
