Happy Labour Day! ✊🌹

The eight-hour working day. The weekend. Paid annual leave. Penalty rates. Equal pay. Superannuation. Safer workplaces.

None of it was given. It was fought for.

Generations of working people organised, marched and stood together to win the rights we have today, and the union movement continues to fight to protect and extend them.

This Labour Day, we remember the workers who came before us, celebrate what they won, and recognise that progress has never happened by accident.

They organised. They fought. They won. And the fight continues.

The union makes us strong. ✊

MQU Labor was proud to Walk for WAGEC! 💜💛

Great to see so many members participate to raise funds and awareness for the Women’s and Girls’ Emergency Centre and the vital work they do supporting women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.

A great day for an incredibly important cause. Thank you to everyone who walked, donated and showed their support!
