MSI – Maritime Survey International – ist im Februar 2026 wieder in Ägypten und checkt Tauchsafarischiffe auf Herz und Nieren. Gemeint sind keine Alibi-Kontrollen, sondern echte Sicherheits-Audits: Notfallausrüstung, Brand- und Rettungsmittel, Abläufe an Bord, Crew-Organisation – all das, was im Ernstfall darüber entscheidet, ob ein Vorfall “blöd gelaufen” oder sauber gemanagt ist.

Für uns Taucher heißt das: Je mehr Boote ein MSI-Rating haben, desto planbarer und sicherer wird der Tauchurlaub. Du kannst deinen Veranstalter oder Bootseigner ganz direkt fragen: „Hat euer Schiff ein MSI Safety Rating?“ – das setzt genau den richtigen Druck an der richtigen Stelle.

Für Bootseigner ist das die Chance, Flagge zu zeigen: Wer sich auditieren lässt, zeigt gegenüber Gästen, Agenturen und Behörden, dass er Safety nicht nur ins Prospekt schreibt, sondern ernst meint. MSI ist im Februar 2026 vor Ort in Ägypten und nimmt Termine an. Wer sein Schiff listen lassen will, meldet sich direkt bei Mick Uberti und klärt Termin, Schiffsdaten und Liegeplatz – den Rest übernimmt das MSI-Team und begleitet euch auch nach dem Audit weiter.

Vor dem maledivischen Vaavu-Atoll ist am Mittwoch der Safariboot-Kreuzer „Yasawa Princess“ in Brand geraten. An Bord befanden sich 17 Touristen und 8 Crew-Mitglieder, die von Polizei und MNDF rund drei Meilen vor Kuda-anbara vollständig und unverletzt evakuiert werden konnten; das Schiff selbst wurde schwer beschädigt, die Brandursache wird noch untersucht.
