CONGRATULATIONS TAEA! πππ€
FEATURED ARTIST β SCHOOLS SPECTACULAR 2026
Huge congrats to our very own Taea in Year 5 for being selected as a Featured Artist in the 2026 Schools Spectacular! After a rigorous audition process with multiple rounds, Taea is one of only a handful of primary students across NSW to earn this incredible honour β a true testament to her outstanding talent and vocal ability.
The Schools Spectacular is an iconic NSW Department of Education event thatβs been showcasing public school talent since 1983. Held annually at Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney Olympic Park, it brings together over 5,500 students in a world-class arena production β the largest of its kind anywhere. The 2026 show is titled 'Original', celebrating artistic excellence, forward-thinking creativity, and collaboration. Can you guess which OGPS staff member is a Schools Spec alumni?
We are so proud of you, Taea! Your hard work, dedication, and voice are an inspiration to our whole OGPS community!

SPOTLIGHT ON KINDERGARTEN π¦
STORIES, OPINIONS & BIG IDEAS πππ€©
This term, students in KKilimanjaro have been responding to characters in books and sharing their opinions about what theyβve read.
Weβve loved watching their confidence grow as they develop and express their ideas through writing. Students are using letter-sound knowledge to spell new words, applying high-frequency words accurately, and building strong editing skills β capitals, full stops, and rereading to check their work makes sense!
To top it off, their detailed, creative illustrations are bringing every story to life! Weβre so proud of the enthusiasm, effort, and progress theyβre showing as young authors!
