Hidden between George and Harrington Streets, Suez Canal Lane has worn many hats over the years. Named after the famous Suez Canal in 1869, it was once known for its o***m dens, sly grog shops and as a favourite haunt of the notorious The Rocks Push gang.

Today? It's a completely different story ✨

What was once a gritty shortcut is now home to artisan shops, galleries and some of the most charming heritage corners in The Rocks.

And those glowing sculptures overhead? They pay tribute to the colourful characters who once walked these streets, turning a simple laneway into one of Sydney's most fascinating open-air history lessons.
