This burn is part of ongoing fuel management to reduce bush fire risk and help protect our communities and surrounding properties.

Residents nearby may notice smoke and ash during and after operations. Please keep clear of firefightings and firegrounds, close windows and doors if smoke is affecting your area, and bring washing indoors.

Conditions change, so burns may be postponed or rescheduled if required.

At around 9:15am this morning, Taree Pumper was paged to Stevenson Lane to assist our friends at Fire and Rescue NSW with a structure fire.

Taree Brigade provided additional CABA operators from both Taree and Tinonee Brigades, assisting crews at the scene where needed.

It was a great example of emergency services and local brigades working together as a team to help keep our community safe.

A big thank you to all the crews involved this morning for their hard work and commitment. 👨‍🚒🚒

Today, members of Taree Brigade took part in an emergency exercise at Taree Airport.

Exercises like this are a great way for our members to put their training and skills into practice, while working alongside other emergency services and agencies from around our local area.

It’s also a great opportunity to build relationships, improve communication and learn how we can work together during an emergency.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make today’s exercise a valuable training opportunity.

We’re proud to be part of our local community and to continue working together to help keep our community safe. ❤️🚒
