The Lake Boga Commercial Hotel is certainly the place to go. The new owners have renovated inside and out, and now have a fabulous b**r garden. They have a great menu, the food is hot and delicious and the drinks are cold. We enjoyed catching up with some of the locals and meeting long time friends for a meal.

We are enjoying our walks around the lake after work. This huge Thompson and Co pump from Castlemaine Victoria, was used to pump Water for the Tresco irrigation scheme. There are a lot of people trying their luck fishing off the side of the lake, including Ian. The pelicans seem to know where to find the fish 🐟

As it's the AFL long weekend in Victoria our second week has already finished. So much happens in small regional towns, here it's outside the front of the PO. This week ABC radio did a live broadcast, interviewing locals from different groups, clubs and farming enterprises. Groups meet up and sit out the front and discuss the workings of the town while drinking coffee. A new skill I can add to my CV, I am finally mastering the coffee machine.I wouldn't call myself a barrister yet. Last night we were invited to join a group of people for dinner at the Lake Boga Hotel, it was a fun night out. This is one of the things we enjoy about our roaming work, we get to meet new people and see other communities day to day working. We also catch up with long time friends along the way, we love our life.

After a 6 week break, and a morning packing our caravan we are on the road again. This time a Victorian PO, we are looking forward to working in the Lake Boga PO again. It's so good to see all the amazing canola crops doing so well everywhere.
