Wakey Wakey eggs and bakey 🍳

Tongala CFA is all set up with the BBQ going for the Garage Sale today. We’ve got the eggs and sausages on the go!

So rather than cook your own breakfast, why not come down and grab something to eat?!

We’ve also got some other goodies for sale as well 😁

All of the proceeds are going straight back to the brigade so we can try to afford to replace our community funded Support vehicle

See you all soon πŸš’πŸ‘©β€πŸš’πŸ˜‹πŸ₯“πŸ³πŸ₯―

The VicEmergency app provides a centralised location for Victorians to access timely emergency information and warnings.

The app includes warnings and incident notifications for fire, flood, storm, earthquake, tsunami, weather warnings, shark sightings, beach closures and more.

It uses that information to provide incident summaries and warnings to help you make informed decisions about your safety.

You can download the app from the App Store

https://apps.apple.com/au/app/vicemergency/id356559665,

or

Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details...

In order to receive location specific app alerts when warnings are issued or incidents occur, you must create a watch zone to stay informed this summer!

Having a BBQ with friends is a great way to celebrate the Grand Final πŸ‰

No matter if you are backing the Dockers or Lions to take the win, we all love a chance to get together and have a snag - while watching our team kick a bag!

This weekend ensure you BBQ safely by;
- Checking hoses and connections for leaks.
- Checking the age and condition of your gas cylinder.
- Removing rubbish, clutter and flammable items from nearby.
- Cleaning grease and fat build up before turning on.

Always watch while cooking and turn the BBQ and gas off when finished.

Take the time to clean off any grease and fat build up when your BBQ has cooled down, so you are ready to safely light it up again next time.

Fire danger period preparedness is fully underway at Tongala. We are currently focusing on entrapment drills. This a done annually and douses the truck in water in an unlikely event of a burn over. One day this training may save our lives. Don't train until you get it right, train until you can't get it wrong πŸ’ͺπŸš’πŸ‘©β€πŸš’
