Meet the Team- Summa

Summa is a valued part of the QLS team, working alongside our Finance and Administration teams to help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Outside of work, Summa enjoys spending time with her family, reading, watching movies and heading off on spontaneous weekend trips. She loves going on adventures, making new memories and enjoying quality time with the people around her.

Fortnightly Connect at Cooby Dam!

We made the most of the beautiful weather and headed out to Cooby Dam for a relaxing day in the great outdoors.

There was plenty of fresh air, good company, a delicious BBQ and lots of time to enjoy the surroundings.

Fortnightly Connect is all about getting out into the community, building connections and creating opportunities to enjoy new experiences together.

A pretty great way to spend the day!

Meet the Team Jess

If you’ve visited the QLS office, chances are you’ve seen Jess! As our Front Reception team member, Jess is often the friendly face welcoming people through the door and helping keep things running smoothly.

This year marks an incredible 10 years with Quality Lifestyle Support for Jess! A whole decade of being part of the QLS team.

Outside of work, Jess enjoys origami and if you’ve ever seen what she can create, you’ll know that’s definitely a talent in itself! There’s something pretty special about being able to turn a simple piece of paper into something amazing.

We’re lucky to have Jess as part of the QLS team and appreciate everything she brings to our office and our people.

Fortnightly Connect: Spring Bluff

Spring has officially arrived, and what better way to enjoy it than a train ride out to beautiful Spring Bluff! 🌷

Our latest Fortnightly Connect was all about getting out into the community, enjoying the sunshine and taking in the beautiful sights that make this time of year so special.

We travelled by train, explored Spring Bluff, enjoyed the gardens and soaked up the spring atmosphere as Toowoomba comes alive for the Carnival of Flowers.

It was a great day filled with fresh air, good company, plenty of laughs and, of course, some beautiful flowers along the way.

Sometimes the people around us are struggling in ways we can’t see.

They might still come to work.
They might still smile.
They might still say, “I’m fine.”

But that doesn’t always mean they are.

R U OK? Day is a reminder to slow down, check in and genuinely ask someone:

“Are you OK?”

And if they say they’re not, you don’t need to have all the answers. Sometimes the most important thing you can do is listen without judgement, stay with them and help them find the right support.

A simple conversation can make someone feel less alone. 💛

And remember you don’t need to wait for R U OK? Day to ask. Check in with your friends, family, colleagues, the people you support and, importantly, yourself.
