The shooting didn’t stop when the sun went down on Exercise Chau Pha. Here is 109 Battery 🐦‍🔥 engaging targets long into the night. Sorry Townsville if we kept you awake 😬.

The Regiment has kicked off Exercise Chau Pha this week, with gun groups practicing a live fire defence of the gun line. Incorporating small arms, high explosives, and casualty evacuation drills, training like this inoculates the Gunners to the noise and uncertainty of battle.

As shown by 109 Battery 🐦‍🔥below, fortunately the Junior NCOs and Officers of the Regiment displayed excellent leadership to keep the guns in action despite the (simulated) danger 💪.

Today the Regiment took a short break from field to celebrate its belated 66th Birthday. The festivities included PT, a hill stomp, and cake. Happy birthday to the Regiment.

As Exercise Shot Start comes to a close members of Combat Service Support Battery 🐜 got onto the hill to practice their All Arms Call for Fire.

Working with the guns from 109 Battery 🐦‍🔥, the activity helped ensure all members of the unit understand the effects of at the target end - and what all their hard work on exercise and in barracks enables.

The Regiment integrated with 5 Aviation Regiment during Ex SHOT START. Resupplying the Guns with ammunition and JFTs conducting Fire Missions from the air. 😎

Today the 4th Regiment Royal Australian Artillery is celebrating 66 years of excellence. There is no better way to celebrate it with a 💥 while out field with fellow Gunners. Congratulations to all who served with pride and distinction.

Exercise Shot Start is off with a bang! 💥

The Regiment is out field conducting its first artillery live fire for the year. The Gunners are hard at work practicing firing by day and night to ensure the Regiment is ready to support 3rd Brigade - Australian Army during the busy .
