I'm Sayeed Aslam, your independent candidate for the Williams Landing ward in the 2024 Wyndham City Council election. As a Wyndham resident for over a decade, I've seen our community grow and diversify. Like many of you, I came here seeking opportunity and now proudly call this vibrant city home.

With my background in engineering, project management, and an MBA from Melbourne Business School, I bring a unique skill set to address our city's challenges. As an independent, I'm committed to assessing issues based solely on their merits, free from political constraints.

Honored to attend the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) Conference 2024, celebrating the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. The event brought together community members from diverse faiths and backgrounds to promote interfaith understanding and harmony.

It was inspiring to see representatives from different religious traditions come together in a spirit of mutual respect and dialogue. Events like these play an important role in fostering social cohesion and building bridges between communities.

Last night, I had the honor of attending a forum for local council candidates hosted by the Islamic Council of Victoria.

This valuable event brought together Muslim candidates running in the upcoming local council elections to discuss. I'm grateful to the ICV for organizing this opportunity for collaboration and connection. As candidates, we shared our visions and priorities.

I came away feeling inspired and even more committed to being a voice for positive change in Williams Landing and Wyndham.
