🎉 1000 Meetings. And counting.
Tonight marks our 1001st meeting at Toastmasters, and we'd love for you to be part of it.
Why attend?
Because the fear of speaking doesn't go away by avoiding it, it goes away by practicing it. And there's no safer place to practice than a room full of people who've stood exactly where you're standing.
What you'll find: A community that cheers louder for your stumbles than your perfect moments. People who remember what it felt like to shake at the lectern — and now help others find their voice.
No judgment. No pressure. Just a warm room, real people, and 1001 meetings of proof that growth happens here.
📍 Today 🎤 Guests welcome & it's free to attend.
Attaching a few moments from our monumental 1000th meeting last fortnight. This is what you missed... Don't miss tonight. See you there.

✨ What a way to start the year at Werribee Toastmasters ✨
Our first meeting of the year kicked off with a record number of attendees, incredible energy in the room, and a powerful sense of connection across new and long-standing members.
A special highlight of the evening was our panel discussion, bringing together leaders who have shaped our club’s journey:
Shylendra Zalke – President, Werribee Toastmasters
Daniel Iglesias – Past President
Patti Kuss – Past President
Arun Ramprasad – Past President
Ross – Senior Member
Jing J – Senior Member
đź’ˇ Key takeaways that resonated strongly with new members:
Everyone starts with nerves and self-doubt, confidence is built, not born.
Staying consistent matters more than being perfect.
Growth happens through small steps: one speech, one role, one meeting at a time.
Toastmasters is not just about speaking, but about leadership, self-belief, and community.
The discussion was honest, inspiring, and deeply relatable, especially for guests and members at Level 1 and Level 2 of their Toastmasters journey. The positive energy in the room was unmistakable, and the conversations continued well beyond the session.
We’re excited about the year ahead and grateful to our leaders and members for making this such a memorable start.
If this was your first meeting, welcome.
If you’ve been with us for years, thank you for continuing to inspire.
Here’s to a year of growth, connection, and confident voices at Werribee Toastmasters 🎤👏

Most of us weren’t born confident speakers.
We became one, one shaky speech at a time.

You don’t have to be ready.
You just have to walk in. 🎤

A big congratulations to two of our Werribee Toastmasters members (Manoj Parmar & Nidhi Maan) who took part in the Inter-Region Contest over the 15th Nov 25 weekend travelling all the way to Ballarat, and both came home with some great wins.
A proud moment for our club, and a reminder of what consistent practice, supportive feedback, and a safe speaking environment can help anyone achieve.
What stood out most wasn’t the trophies…
It was the confidence, clarity, and growth — qualities any one of us can build with the right community. Attaching one of our winner Manoj Parmar’s words here about his experience at the competition.
If you’ve ever thought:
“I wish I spoke with more confidence,”
or
“I want to improve my communication for work or life,”
then this is your invitation.
Come visit Werribee Toastmasters.
No pressure. No expectations.
Just a friendly space to learn, practice, laugh, and grow — at your own pace.
đź“… We meet every 1st, 2nd & 3rd Wednesday evening 7:30 - 9:30 pm
📍 Koomail Tardy Community Centre

Howdy fellow Toastmasters,
At meeting number 993 (getting so so close to the big #1000 aren't we, hang on to your horses, something's-a-brewing), held on the 15th of October 2025, we celebrated a special night with our esteemed members and guests alike.
It was the International speech and Table Topics contest.
We had 3 speakers for the International speech and eight worthy opponents competing with their wonderful takes answering the question: "If you had one super power in Australia, what would that be?"
The speeches had us inspired at times and laughing along at others.
We welcome one and all to join us on this Toastmasters journey. Given that next week on the 29th of October 2025, we will be having 2 more interesting contests.
