Today, Tumbarumba High School took on Nedd Brockmann’s Uncomfortable Challenge, with a goal of completing 350 laps of the oval while raising awareness and funds to support Australians experiencing homelessness. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our students and staff absolutely smashed it!

A huge effort from every stage:
🔹 Stage 4 – 740 laps
🔹 Stage 5 – 760 laps
🔹 Stage 6 & staff – 400 laps

🏆 That’s an incredible 1,900 laps in total

🌟 Some outstanding individual efforts included:
Stage 4 – Leo Peel: 30 laps
Stage 5 – Darcy McGee: 27 laps
Stage 6 – Liam Wilkinson: 22 laps
Staff – Jo Murrell: 31 laps

A massive congratulations to everyone who participated, pushed themselves outside their comfort zone and supported such an important cause.

Every lap represents a step towards making a difference for people experiencing homelessness in Australia. We are incredibly proud of the determination, teamwork and community spirit shown by our THS students and staff today!

🌟 Our New Student Leaders!🌟

Our newly appointed student leaders recently enjoyed a working morning tea out at a local
Cafe with the Senior Executive and Miss Raczkowski, SRC Patron.

It was a great opportunity to discuss leadership expectations, share ideas and explore what our new leaders hope to achieve during their tenure.

We look forward to seeing their ideas come to life and the positive contributions they will make to our school community! 👏

Year 11 Life Ready Program

This week, our Year 11 students participated in the Life Ready program at Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre.

Life Ready focuses on offering students opportunities to build the functional knowledge, skills and confidence needed for life post-school, preparing them for the opportunities and challenges that come with greater independence.

Throughout the camp, students participated in a range of activities and discussions focusing on:
- Road safety and responsible decision-making
- Independence and life skills
- Drugs, alcohol and making informed choices
- Mindfulness and wellbeing
- Positive relationships and respectful connections

The three days provided students with valuable opportunities to learn, reflect, challenge themselves and develop skills that will support them beyond school.

A big thank you to our Year 11 students for their enthusiasm, participation and positive attitude throughout the camp. It was fantastic to see students working together, supporting one another and making the most of the experience!
