🌴 Nathan Rows Through our Village 🇸🇧🛶
Join Nathan as he hops into a traditional dugout canoe and spends time with the local kids, gliding through the crystal-clear waters of a beautiful Solomon Islands village.
What immediately stands out is just how unbelievably clear the water is. Beneath the canoe, vibrant coral gardens stretch across the shallow lagoon, creating a stunning underwater landscape that feels untouched by time. Every paddle stroke reveals another glimpse of colourful reef, tropical fish, and the incredible natural beauty that surrounds these islands.
One of the most special parts of the experience is sharing the canoe with the local children. Their smiles, laughter, and connection to the ocean highlight the simple and peaceful way of life that makes the Solomon Islands so unique.
Away from the crowds and noise of modern life, the Solomon Islands offer something truly rare — peace, quiet, and a chance to immerse yourself in nature and local culture. The gentle sound of paddles in the water, the rustling palm trees, and the warm hospitality of the villagers create an atmosphere that is both calming and unforgettable.
From pristine coral reefs and turquoise lagoons to traditional villages and friendly locals, this is island life at its finest.

This is a video i made of us taking a break and relaxing in the War Canoe Cave in the Solomons. the culture and practices of the Tribe that house us is fascinating!
That’s a fascinating and chilling piece of history! The idea of a cave being used as a hideout for war canoes is pretty strategic—hidden from view, waiting for the right moment to ambush. It really paints a picture of a culture with intense warrior traditions and an emphasis on the headhunting practice. The psychological impact of such tactics must have been terrifying for anyone who encountered them.
The idea that the beheaded heads were believed to have supernatural power really speaks to the deeply spiritual or mystical beliefs tied to the headhunting tradition. It sounds like these warriors didn’t just see their raids as a way of asserting dominance but also as a way to gain mystical strength or protection for their tribe.
