AZNAC DAY SERVICE
SATURDAY 25 April 11 am
ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRAL
St. Paul’s Cathedral, Pax Christi Victoria & Victorian Council Of Churches
Invite you to an Ecumenical Service of
Lament, Repentance and Hope
We lament the destruction, tragedy, loss humankind brings on itself by waging war.
We remember all whose lives were taken from them, those maimed in mind and body, those who said no to war; those who waited at home; the veterans still awaiting care; and the First Nations peoples, massacred in the colonial wars.
We dare to hope against hope for a just and sustainable peace.
This year at this time we lament the wars in the Middle East, the wars in, Ukraine, Myanmar and the Sudan, and violence within our the Australian Community: the Bondi killings, attacks on Muslims and Jews, violence towards women, attacks on minorities and stabbings in our streets
SPEAKER: Ms Joyce Ajlouny,
Joyce is leader of the Quaker American Friends Service Committee, a Palestinian American,
former director of the Quaker school in Ramallah.
PREACHER Rev. Rachel Kronberger
(Wesley Church Melbourne)
We believe in
the unstoppable power of Hope
